Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States. Research shows colorectal cancer in younger adults is on the rise. Now, that data has prompted an expert panel to recommend colon cancer screening start at age 45 – instead of 50. The task force said colorectal cancer screening saves lives and that adults ages 45 to 75 should be screened to reduce risk of dying from the disease. Draft recommendations are typically posted for public comment for about a month before final guidelines are issued.

New research in the International Journal of Cancer suggests that people who exercise in the early morning might have a reduced risk of developing cancer than those who exercise later in the day. Early morning exercise might have lowered the risk for breast cancer by 25% and prostate cancer by 27%. There were several reasons cited for the results, but one strong correlation is the relationship exercise has with a person’s circadian rhythm. Night shift has been labeled as “probably” carcinogenic to humans because it disrupts a person’s natural sleep-wake cycle. Exercise can potentially improve circadian rhythms at the same time reducing cancer risk.

With that, they began distributing food packs in the impoverished neighborhoods in Dhaka.
