Scranton, Pennsylvania, Mayor Paige Cognetti is announcing a bid for Congress.

The president of Haverford College was berated by Republican lawmakers in a congressional hearing on campus antisemitism, with some suggesting the school should lose federal funding because of her refusal to discuss student discipline in the wake of pro-Palestinian protests.

Lana Greenfield took over the House seat of her son, Sen. Brock Greenfield, in 2015 when he switched chambers. In Ohio, state Rep. Gayle Manning holds office across the legislative hall from her son, state Sen. Nathan Manning, a fellow Republican.
