The Furyk Foundation, in tandem with the PGA Wives Association and the PLAYERS Championship are putting on their annual "Kids Can Play" event, which was intended to give children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their siblings, opportunities to get close to famous golfers during one of The Players practice days. This is meant to be a day of carefree fun that's safe and special for the patients and their families. Ahead of the event, Dillard's at the St. Johns Town Center opened its doors for a private outfitting, dressing some of the patients and their families in spring's hottest styles to show off next week. This year, the PGA Tour is encouraging people to check out some of the different spots to watch the action in order to help spread people out more during the coronavirus pandemic. The 17th hole is one of the most popular spots for fans to watch The Players, but around the course, there are a variety of great vantage points you might not think of. But this year, there won’t be a hospitality tent, making it easier for fans to watch the action at both holes from the same spot. Want Players Championship tickets this year? Better get them early

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tickets for next month’s Players Championship are going to be more in demand than ever before. The message from The Players — get those tickets quickly. The Tour hasn’t released attendance totals since 2013, so nailing down an exact number of available tickets is a bit estimation. That would put a 20% attendance at roughly 9,000 per day this year if the Tour based its numbers off that 2013 high. Players tickets are always in demand, especially the Friday and Saturday rounds, so scooping those up early is strongly encouraged by the tournament this year.

St. Johns County is a state leader in overall deaths by suicide for young adults ages 18 through 24. With a $1 million gift from The Players, Flagler Health+ is partnering with St. Johns County public schools to launch a program designed to address the mental health stigma that prevents youth from seeking support for themselves and/or their peers experiencing mental distress. In Florida, six out of 10 youth (66.8%) who are depressed and are most at-risk for depression do not receive any mental health treatment. is meant to change that by providing St. Johns County public school students and families with improved access to behavioral health services. Seventy students from around St. Johns County have already signed up for the program.
