Police said they responded around 11:20 a.m. to Norfolk Boulevard at Portsmouth Avenue, where they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Police said the man was taken to an area hospital, where he died. The Sheriff’s Office said it appears to be an isolated incident and everyone involved is in police custody. Sunday’s shooting happened in the same area as the March 2020 shooting that killed Inandi Wyche, a 17-year-old Ribault High School student.

The Sheriff’s Office said a young man was also shot, but he was hospitalized with injuries that were not deemed life-threatening.
