Donna Orender, founder of Generation W and former president of the WNBA, has used what she learned on the court as a pro basketball player to help motivate and empower women and teenage girls.

In honor of Women’s History Month, News4JAX will highlight local women who inspire and empower future generations through a special week-long streaming event featuring Generation W, beginning March 24.

Industry and Jacksonville community leaders are set to speak Friday afternoon on the campus of the University of North Florida during Generation W’s “Believe” summit.

Now that restrictions have been lifted, many are finding ways to reconnect with the world. Generation W is presenting its signature event, CONNECTION, in person for the first time in two years on April 1 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the University of North Florida – Lazzara Theater (1 UNF Dr.).
