Founded in 1997, Equality Florida has grown into one of the largest statewide LGBTQ advocacy networks in the country.

The NAACP on Saturday issued a formal travel advisory for Florida saying that the state is openly hostile toward African Americans, people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals.
