A 9-year-old child was struck by a car when the child walked on the road in front of the vehicle, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A pedestrian was hit by a car on Wednesday night, Clay County Fire Rescue told News4JAX.

All four vehicles came to a stop and no one else was hurt, FHP said.
