JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars wrapped up the second night of the NFL draft on Friday night with two more defensive players and reinforcements on the offensive line.

Jacksonville took Texas A&M defensive lineman Albert Regis at pick No. 81, Oregon offensive guard Emmanuel Pregnon at No. 88 and Maryland defensive back Jalen Husky and pick No. 100 to wrap up a four-selection day.

The Jaguars took Texas A&M tight end Nate Boerkircher with pick No. 56 in the second round with their first selection of the draft.

Regis (6-1, 295 pounds) can play at tackle or nose guard and will be a rotation player along with newly acquired Ruke Orhorhoro. Regis is coming off the best season of his career (49 tackles, 2 sacks) and arrives on a position group that needs help.

Pregnon (6-4, 314 pounds) was a first-team All-Big Ten selection last year and has solid upside. Ezra Cleveland and Patrick Mekari are the current guards, but Mekari is coming off a bit of a disappointing season in his first year with the Jaguars.

The selection of Husky was another surprise. He projected as a late seventh-round pick or an undrafted free agent but went with a premium pick. He played cornerback in college, but the Jaguars have him listed at safety. That means he’ll battle with Caleb Ransaw, who missed his entire rookie season injured, along with Antonio Johnson and Eric Murray for reps.
