Now, I know I have been going pretty high on the scores recently so since I’m going lower, this will be the game the Jags put up points. I will be honest, I might be drinking the Kool-Aid a little bit here but it tastes good. I think we all probably picked the 49ers when the schedule came out but now this team does look a little different. This is a good measuring stick game and I think the Jags will be up to the task. I think the formula has been discovered this season and it is run the ball on offense and take it away on defense. If the Jaguars can do that I think they will likely win the game. They also have a little bulletin board material with this whole sign stealing quote from 49ers DC Robert Saleh so give me the Jags in a close one. — Jaguars 24, 49ers 17.

Jacksonville stunk it up on offense last week but found a way to win. They can’t play like that and win here. Yes, San Francisco is banged up, but I’m not completely bought in yet that the Jaguars can go out to the West Coast and light up the Niners. The defense has been excellent so far, but I’m still hesitant to put too much faith in the offense right now. I called this a loss in my first predictions this year and I’ll stick to it. — 49ers 27, Jaguars 23.

The 49ers have a laundry list of injured players including two banged up quarterbacks. That’s why I think the Jaguars will win. But the offense needs to play better and correct the drops and offensive penalties. DC Robert Saleh gave the Jags even more motivation with his “legal sign stealing” comments. The Jaguars have lost 11 of their last 12 road games and have a 4-15 record all-time on the West Coast, but that will change Sunday. — Jaguars 24, 49ers 17.

I have told myself all week I was picking the 49ers in this game. By Robert Saleh saying that Liam Coen steals signs almost swung the pendulum for me to pick the Jags. You can call it whatever you want, but I call that bulletin board material. I wouldn’t be surprised if Liam Coen empties the bag on the field on Sunday to light that 49ers defense up ... and I hope he does. But I’m sticking to my guns and going to pick San Fran to win. — 49ers 30, Jaguars 27.
