I am pretty sure I feel like most of you did last week — the Jaguars were robbed. The team should be 2-0 right now. But because of drops, penalties and whatever else you want to blame it on, they are not. However, they are in pretty good shape, and I feel like the team has found somewhat of a winning formula. Play physical, run the ball, and get turnovers. If they are able to do these things consistently I’d say it is a safe bet that they will have a good chance at winning regardless of the opponent. The Texans are coming in without a win. For them, this almost feels like a must-win. I think the Jaguars continue to progress. As long as they play mistake-free football and avoid shooting themselves in the foot, they should be able to take care of business. Give me Jacksonville in a close game but they get a score late to put the Texans away. — Jaguars 31, Texans 20.

This year’s record: 2-0.

Jacksonville really should be unbeaten right now. The old Jaguars resurfaced last week and found a way to lose instead of a way to win. That should change this week if Brian Thomas Jr. and Dyami Brown can remember how to catch. BTJ has been dreadful in two games after a superstar rookie season. Brown dropped two huge passes last week. I think Jacksonville gets back on track and sinks Houston into an 0-3 start. That’d be payback for last year’s cheap shot by Azeez Al-Shaair that KO’d Trevor Lawrence. — Jaguars 28, Texans 24.

This year’s record: 1-1.

It’s the first AFC South opponent of the season, but also, probably the toughest divisional opponent of the season. Head coach Liam Coen said it best, “I think these guys are aware of what is at stake in terms of just the competitiveness between these two teams and that we haven’t had a ton of success.” It’s true. The Texans have beaten the Jaguars in EverBank Stadium the past six meetings, but I think that changes Sunday. The vibe in the locker room this week was optimistic and not defeated. That’s why I feel like for the first time in a long time the Jaguars will win and get back on track. — Jaguars 24, Texans 17.

Jags haven’t beat the Texans at home since 2017. They got to break that streak this year. This is a must win. Dropping the Texans to 0-3 basically ends their season. Their chances of making the playoffs would drop significantly. Give me the Jags to pull off the dub.— Jaguars 27, Texans 24.
