Week 1 is in the books, and the Jaguars are 1-0. Now, I am trying not to drink the Kool-Aid, but I feel it coming. I really liked what I saw against the Panthers and Liam Coen might have a pretty good formula to come away with wins. Run the ball and get turnovers. Now, they are going against the Bengals and not the Panthers, but I think if they get 200 yards on the ground and win the turnover battle, they will be in pretty good shape. I could just be rooting for it, but I think this game will be a shootout with Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence throwing it around, so give me the Jaguars winning by at least two scores. — Jaguars 38, Bengals 21.

Jacksonville looked better than I expected in Week 1, but it came against perhaps to NFL’s worst team. Can the Jaguars build off that success against an elite quarterback, two big-time receivers and a dominant edge rusher? I think this may be a bit too steep of a climb right now. — Bengals 31, Jaguars 24.

It is a beautiful Friday! Vibes are high since I got tickets to see “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Meredith Marks DJ, so I want to keep the optimism going and choose the Jaguars. The Bengals have elite receivers in Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, but the Jaguars defense was locked in last week and seem to only have the motivation to improve. Now with one game complete, I think Trevor Lawrence and the offense will have more confidence too. I expect Travis Hunter will score his first touchdown. — Jaguars 34, Bengals 28.

Back to Cincy. My prediction is that Liam Coen will be on the plane flying back with the team. Okay, enough Urban call-backs, give me the Jags. This is a big game, and I started the week thinking I would pick the Jags to lose, but forget that. My attitude has flipped. Give me the Jags in this one. I think it will be a close game, but the Jags edge it out. I’ll take Brian Thomas Jr. to have more receiving yards than Ja’Marr Chase on Sunday. That’s my crazy feeling. We shall see, but I expect a dub. — Jaguars 30, Bengals 27.
