Last season’s record: 9-8.
Well, well, well here we are once again. The season is upon us, and it is finally time for predictions. Now you know I may not be the biggest fan of this because the football gods often work against me, but the Jaguars do get a Week 1 matchup at home against somewhat of a favorable opponent. I do think it will be closer than a lot of other people think, but Carolina is coming in here with a young team and I think Jacksonville has some experience to take advantage of that. I know everyone will be excited to see Travis Hunter and how much he plays, but it will come down to the quarterback and if he can effectively move the ball down the field and put points on the board. I am taking the Jags in this one as the Liam Coen era starts with a win. — Jaguars 31, Panthers 20.

After a sunshine and rainbows offseason, it’s time to get down to business. Liam Coen faces off with the guy he replaced as Tampa Bay’s offensive coordinator. I think Jacksonville is a much better team than the Panthers are. If the Jaguars can’t win this one, there are bigger problems ahead. I think Jacksonville’s defense handles Carolina and makes a statement in Week 1. — Jaguars 28, Panthers 17.
Alessandra Pontbriand
Last season’s record: 10-7.
A new season is upon us! That means a fresh start for the Jaguars to hopefully have a much improved year. The locker room had good vibes Wednesday after practice and the team has been optimistic and energetic heading into the season opener. I think Jaguars fans will bring added motivation for the team to start the season 1-0 against the Panthers. I predict two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown as well as a Cam Little field goal. — Jaguars 24, Panthers 21.
Jamal St. Cyr
Last season’s record: 7-10.
I don’t want to call Week 1 a must-win game but .... it isn’t far from it. First game of a new regime, a win helps to set the tone, and well the Panthers aren’t very good. Jags win and start the season 1-0. Get Duuuval all warm and fuzzy then everyone can snap back to reality next week with Cincy. — Jaguars 35, Panthers 21.
