JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – As the new year begins, many people are looking for meaningful ways to give back—and there’s no better moment than January 17, when United Way Northeast Florida brings the community together for its annual MLK Day of Service.
This powerful day of action honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by turning service into impact across Northeast Florida. Volunteers of all backgrounds will come together to support hands-on projects focused on neighborhood revitalization, meeting basic needs, and strengthening financial well-being—the building blocks of strong, thriving communities.
The day kicks off with an energizing MLK Service Rally, setting the tone for collaboration and purpose. From there, volunteers head out to carefully curated service projects designed to uplift families and create lasting change. Whether you’re lending a hand for the first time or returning year after year, every hour volunteered helps move our region forward.
Starting 2026 by donating your time is a simple, powerful way to make a difference—and to connect with neighbors who share a commitment to service.
