JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Many U.S. veterans and military experts have expressed opposition to President Trump’s politicization of this country’s military, and they are also quick to condemn it.
President Trump recently accused Democratic lawmakers of “sedition punishable by death.” He reposted a message on Truth Social saying: “Hang them George Washington would!”
The remarks came after a small group of lawmakers, all former military or with a national security background, urged U.S. soldiers not to follow unlawful orders.
Those lawmakers posted a video on social media specifically addressed to U.S. service members.
Don Christensen, a retired Air Force colonel and former chief prosecutor for the Air Force and current counsel for the Solomon Law Firm, joined News4JAX Anchor Bruce Hamilton on The Morning Show to discuss the use of the word sedition and the implications of what is happening to U.S. troops.
