JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A woman was killed Tuesday afternoon when she was hit by a semi in the Love’s Travel Stop parking lot in Baldwin.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, just before 7:30 p.m., the woman was walking in the Love’s parking lot at the U.S. 301 and Interstate 10 exchange.
The semi driver was making a turn, and JSO said the driver did not see the woman, causing the fatal crash.

This marks the 124th traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 31st incident involving a pedestrian.
The semi driver was cooperating with the investigation.
