70-year-old man with dementia found dead after search

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 70-year-old man last seen in the Baymeadows area.

Around 3:15 p.m., JSO said the man had been located.

At 5:50 p.m., JSO clarified the man had passed away, and no foul play is suspected.

The man was last seen around 12:45 a.m. on A.C. Skinner Parkway near Deerwood Park Boulevard. Montano has been diagnosed with dementia.
