JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On this episode, we’re joined by Sergeant Slaughter. The iconic wrestler is one of very few who became a major figure in pop culture. Slaughter became the face of the G.I. Joe toy franchise in the 1980’s and 1990’s.
In this interview, we discuss his career as well as a heartbreaking story about his former (on scree) nemesis the Iron Sheik. Slaughter (real name Robert Remus) was the only wrestler to attend Sheik’s funeral.
Slaughter also discusses living in Jacksonville for a time years back.
