“We’re going to continue to grow. Continue to bring new people to town, new employment opportunities for everybody. It’ll be a massive aviation facility for the future,” said Mark VanLoh, Jacksonville Aviation Authority CEO.

The development plans come on the heels of a significant investment in space operations. The JAA board recently approved $600,000 for a reentry license project at Cecil Spaceport. The funds will support updates to operational plans, safety measures and airspace analysis.

Board members emphasized that the new amenities would address current employees’ needs while positioning the facility for future growth in Jacksonville’s aviation and aerospace sectors.
