On Aug. 31, Pritchard was dropping off his aunt and niece after a family party. He drove past the Havana Heights Apartments and Riverside Apartments when he was shot at in a case of mistaken identity, police said.

He was taken to a nearby hospital and was released to the Brooks Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville. He was released from the facility in early November.

The complaint claims negligence against the apartments and the owners, saying that they didn’t provide adequate security and failed to warn tenants about prior incidents of gun violence and drug trafficking.

The complaint references prior arrests and a negligent suit from a 2019 shooting.

Pritchard is represented by Greg Francis and Ryan Fletcher of Osborne & Francis Law Firm in Orlando. Read the full complaint below.
