Glynn County police arrest 2 teens accused of multiple car break-ins, firearm thefts

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. – Two 17-year-olds were arrested this month in connection with a string of thefts from vehicles and the theft of multiple firearms, the Glynn County Police Department said.

Detectives and patrol officers investigated incidents that occurred during October and November 2025, and crime scene technicians and the department’s latent print examiner helped process and analyze evidence, officials said.

On Nov. 7, officers arrested a 17-year-old in Waynesville after finding multiple firearms in his possession, the department said. On Nov. 20, officers with the College of Coastal Georgia police apprehended another 17-year-old in Brunswick after he fled from officers following several thefts from vehicles on campus; GCPD detectives had obtained outstanding arrest warrants, officials said. The second juvenile also was found in possession of multiple stolen firearms.

Both were taken to GCPD headquarters for questioning and then booked into the Glynn County Detention Center on multiple charges.

One juvenile was booked on charges that included theft by taking (motor vehicle); two counts of theft by taking (firearm); two counts of entering an automobile; criminal attempt to commit entering an automobile; two counts of possession of a handgun by a person under 18; false statements and writings; obstruction of a law enforcement officer (felony); and tampering with evidence.

The other juvenile was charged with three counts of theft by taking (firearm); two counts of entering an automobile; criminal attempt to commit entering an automobile; theft by receiving stolen property (motor vehicle); and possession of tools for the commission of a crime, the department said.

Glynn County detectives worked with the Brunswick Police Department, Glynn County Sheriff’s Office, Brantley County Sheriff’s Office, McIntosh County Sheriff’s Office, the College of Coastal Georgia police and the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice, officials said.
