St. Johns County detective shares warning signs to help older adults avoid falling victim to scams

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Last year, older adults lost nearly $5 billion to some type of fraud. The average victim of elder fraud loses at least $33,000.

Bobby Fultz, a detective with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, investigates scams and sees far too many senior citizens victimized by them.

Fultz joined The Morning Show on Friday to share some warning signs and what people can do to prevent falling victim to a scam.
