City of Jacksonville unveils new ‘dating-style’ app to connect people with pets available for adoption

The ‘JaxPawFinder’ will allow users to swipe right to find their fur-baby match

Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS) and the Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city of Jacksonville will unveil on Tuesday a new app that aims to connect people with pets up for adoption at the Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS).

Officials will unveil “JaxPawFinder,” which will work like a dating app where users will swipe right to find their match.

Additionally, ACPS announced updated hours to better suit the needs of the community.

Effective immediately, the shelter will be open from 12-7 p.m. seven days a week.
