Going Ringside Ep. 134: Arrest in Liv Morgan stalking case

Man accused of stalking after traveling from Canada to Florida, attempted to break in Liv Morgan’s home

ORLANDO, Fla. – A Canadian man is in police custody for allegations that he traveled from Canada to Florida to stalk WWE Superstar Liv Morgan (real name Gionna Daddio).

A criminal complaint affidavit filed in Pasco County, Fla., reads that Chan travelled to Florida to go to Morgan’s home.

On June 2 WWE’s head of security notified police that someone had been walking around her residence. The man was reported to have left a note.

It was also noted that Morgan’s mother, Georgette Daddio, was at the scene waiting for deputies to arrive.

The report reads she regularly checks the property and when she arrived on June 2, she “observed some packages on the front porch along with a handwritten note”.

The note was described as “disturbing,” and the writer claimed Morgan would “hang out with” him online. It went on to read: “the one that you ALL disrespected, exploited, and INVADED my privacy on a daily basis, all the way in CANADA. I came here to pay just a friendly visit, nothing more. Yet, I’m the one who looks like a stalker thx to all of you.”

In the report, the investigator added: “The letter continues with the author rambling about being spied on through electronic technology, and being taken advantage of, causing him hardship in his life by the persons identified in the letter.”

The investigator wrote that he checked with various law enforcement sources to determine he flew to Orlando International Airport from Canada.

And the report indicates that Chan wasn’t hiding his destination of WWE. “Shawn provided Customs and Border Patrol with information that he was in the country to visit the WWE Performance Center,” which is located in the Orlando area.

But the letter wasn’t the only disturbing part. Surveillance video was discovered from Morgan’s address and the Homeowner’s Association gate.

“Suspect is observed still sitting on the front porch of the victim’s residence and is holding the victim’s AR-15 style BB gun, which he retrieved from the corner of the porch.”

The report adds he made attempts to enter the property, which was vacant at the time and Morgan “does not know the suspect”.

Chan was charged with burglary to an unoccupied dwelling.
