County-by-county list of where to celebrate the 4th with fireworks around Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Fourth of July is next week, and Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia are offering various festivities for you and the family to attend. There are parades, walks, festivals and of course fireworks. Check out your county and learn about events that you’ll be able to attend.

Alachua County

City of Alachua’s fireworks display: The City of Alachua’s July 4th fireworks display lights up the night sky with vibrant colors and stunning pyrotechnics. It will be held at Legacy Park. The fireworks are choreographed to music creating a breathtaking visual and auditory experience. Click here for more information.

Clay County

57th Annual 4th of July Celebration: Keystone Heights is coming together to celebrate Independence Day. Bring your family, friends, and patriotism to City Hall. The event will be filled with exciting events, local vendors, and live entertainment. To find out more information, click here.

American Pride Fourth of July: Moosehaven and the Town of Orange Park invite the community to their Independence Day event. This free event is held on the banks of the St Johns River. It features live music, food trucks, and of course, fireworks. The fireworks display will take place over the St. Johns River. For more information about the event, click here.

Columbia County

Fourth of July Celebration: Columbia County and the City of Lake City invite you to an Independence Day celebration at the Columbia County Fairgrounds. It’s open from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event is more than just fireworks and offers food trucks, live music, craft vendors, a kid zone, eating contests, a dunking booth, and a bounce house. Annual Jacksonville Fireworks Show: This year, the Jacksonville fireworks show will take place in downtown Jacksonville. You can watch the fireworks from the North and South Banks. Fourth of July Fireworks viewing: Come to Hyatt Regency at Jacksonville Riverfront for a memorable evening full of fireworks. Tickets cost $13 dollars and food and beverages will be available for purchase. Find out more information here.

Friendship Fountain Fireworks: Jax Parks monthly first Fridays at Friendship Fountain are the ultimate way to start the weekend. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., and can be seen all over open areas of Riverwalk. Click here for more information.

4th of July Celebration: Join the City of Jacksonville to Celebrate Independence Day with a potluck buffet and of course, fireworks. There will be a DJ who begins at 6 p.m. Click here for more information on the celebration.

Flagler County

United Flagler Fourth Community Celebration: Flagler County government along with the Cities of Palm Coast, Flagler Beach, and Bunnell, are thrilled to invite residents and visitors to the United Flagler 4th Community Celebration. The festivities will begin with a Stars and Stripes parade in the morning and fireworks over the runways at night. Residents will also be able to enjoy music and entertainment. Nassau County

Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach: Downtown Fernandina Beach is where the past and present collide in a small town. The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. and features music, food trucks, and vendors. Fireworks will launch around 9 p.m. Click here for more information.

Red, White and Deep Blue Fourth of July Celebration: The event offers a fireworks display along with a barbecue, lawn and carnival style games. There’s also classic barbeque delights and seafood favorites. It takes place at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island. To learn more about this event, click here.

St. Johns County

Fireworks over the Matanzas: The Nation’s Oldest City is offering waterfront views and a night sky bursting with color. St. Augustine’s Fireworks Over the Matanzas is a must-visit summer tradition. The City’s annual Independence Day celebration returns on July 4. The 20-minute celebration will take place over the Matanzas Bay starting at 9:30 p.m. Free satellite parking and shuttle services will be provided. The City reminds you to do the following if you’re planning to attend:

  • Before you arrive, have an exit strategy.
  • Plan to stay downtown after the fireworks display.  Allow traffic and people to disperse.
  • Be patient. Expect long delays when exiting downtown following the fireworks.  It takes all day for people to arrive, and everyone tries to leave at the same time.
  • The Historic Downtown Parking Facility is expected to reach capacity early and will be closed.  There will be long exit lines when leaving the garage following the fireworks.

Putnam County

City of Palatka Fourth of July Celebration: The event takes place at the Palatka Riverfront and the fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. There will be a DJ, food trucks, kids zone, and face painting. For more information click here.

Charlton County

Independence Day Festival: Celebrate Independence Day at the annual Fourth of July festival in downtown St. Marys. The day starts with 5k and 10k runs, along with a parade. It will also have local arts and crafts and food vendors. Attendees will be able to experience a spectacular fireworks display at the end of the day. Click here for more information.

Glynn County

St. Simons Island’s Fourth of July celebration: St. Simons Island fireworks will begin at sundown on July 4 around 9 p.m. The fishing pier and the southernmost end of Mallery Street will be closed to cars and pedestrian traffic beginning on the morning of the Fourth of July. Brunswick’s Old Fashion Fourth of July Celebration: The event offers free old-fashioned games, watermelon slices, food trucks, music and of course fireworks at Mary Ross Waterfront Park. The festivities start at 6:15 p.m. and fireworks begin around 9 p.m. For more information about this exciting event, click here.

Jekyll Island Independence Day Celebration: Come celebrate the 4th of July on Jekyll Island. After sunset at 8:45 p.m., you’ll be able to witness the most spectacular fireworks display. Arrive early to ensure your spot at the event. Fireworks are best viewed from Great Dunes Beach Park and Oceanview Beach Park. Click here for more information.

Sea Island Fourth of July Celebration: The Cloister and Beach Club have many activities scheduled each year during the Fourth of July weekend. Old Fashion 4th of July celebration: The event offers games, food, and fun. It takes place behind group shelter #4. It offers cornhole as well as many other games and activities. There’s also free food. It takes place from 210 am to 12:30 pm. Click here to find out more information.
