FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Hundreds of people gathered at Central Park in Fernandina Beach to celebrate the fifth annual Pride Parade and Festival.
The event began at 10 a.m. with the Pride parade and was followed by the festival, which featured several live bands and other activities.

The family and pet-friendly event also had dozens of vendors and food trucks.

According to the website, Fernandina Beach Pride, Inc. was formed in January 2019 by a group of activists who believe the LGBTQ+ community in Fernandina Beach deserves to be acknowledged and celebrated.

“Our vision is to create an inspiring and dedicated culture of support across our diverse community. We encourage fellowship and support among participating businesses, professionals, individuals and charitable pursuits in the LGBTQ+ and allied communities,” the group wrote.
