Now in its ninth year, the program aims to reduce accidents on one of the riskiest nights for driving.
“After more than four decades protecting accident victims, we’ve seen countless ways that lives are forever altered after a crash,” Chuck Farah, senior partner at Farah & Farah, said in a release. “Our annual New Year’s Eve Safe Ride Home Program is one way that we can help thousands of people avoid being a statistic and return home safely after celebrating.”
The Safe Ride Home Program is available in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Fort Myers, Savannah, and Tampa.
Participants can claim a $50 Uber voucher by visiting Farah & Farah’s website (while supplies last). The website also lists cab companies for those who prefer taxis.
The program runs from 6 p.m. on Dec. 31 to 6 a.m. on Jan. 1.
Over the past eight years, the program has helped more than 12,000 people get home safely.
This initiative emphasizes the importance of planning to avoid drinking and driving.
