Sean “Diddy” Combs is reportedly in solitary confinement following a fight with a fellow inmate at a federal prison in New Jersey, according to ABC News, NBC News and TMZ.
Combs, 55, is currently serving his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, a low-security federal facility situated on a military base outside Philadelphia. According to TMZ, the fight began after an inmate insulted Combs and was quickly stopped by staff.

Conviction, sentencing
Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison in October 2025, following his federal trial that summer. He was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs was acquitted on more serious sex trafficking and racketeering charges. He has already received credit for time served while held in New York City ahead of his trial.
What’s next for Combs
His release date is currently slated for February 2028 — moved up from April of that year. It remains unclear whether the reported fight will push that date back.
