Good news for drivers planning to get away for the holidays: New numbers released by AAA show gas prices in the state have dropped for the past 22 days.
According to AAA, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Florida is $2.44. That's down 2 cents from this time last week.
Experts say Jacksonville has one of the least expensive gas price averages in the state, at $2.38 per gallon.
AAA says the national average for a gallon of regular is $2.48 per gallon.
Experts say the downward trend is expected to continue, as demand decreases.
