AAPI Heritage Month: Celebrating UF Health’s Dr. Linh Nguyen

News4JAX is celebrating the resiliency and contributions of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islander Americans all month long.

We’re putting the spotlight on Dr. Linh Nguyen, who is on track to finish her fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine at UF Health in Jacksonville next month!

According to her biography on UF Health’s website, Nguyen’s journey into medicine was sparked by a personal tragedy when her mother was diagnosed with leukemia in high school.

This experience gave her a deeper understanding of the health care system and motivated her to pursue a career in pediatrics.

She completed her residency at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Now, she’s focusing on research to improve lumbar puncture success rates at UF Health.
