Gracie brought his family’s style of jiu-jitsu to America in the early 1990s when he was the first-ever UFC Champ. He beat Ken Shamrock (who’s appeared on Going Ringside several times) at UFC 1.
Gracie was in Jacksonville this past weekend teaching students jiu-jitsu.
In this interview, he talks about how he learned his fighting style from his accomplished family and credits his father as the greatest fighter ever.
We also ask him whether he thinks he could beat the current top UFC fighter, Jon Jones.
Also on this show, we’re joined by pro wrestler turned actor Cash Flo, who is now a bodyguard for Sylvester Stallone.
