Whether you’re covered in tinsel, wrapped in lights, or jingling all the way, this is your moment to sparkle (and maybe blind a few people with your sweater’s glory).

1. Online Photo Contest
Think your sweater is so bad it’s good? Prove it!
Submit your photo on SnapJAX and let the people decide who truly rules the realm of ugly.
How to Enter:
- Snap a photo of yourself rocking your ugliest holiday sweater

- Entries close Nov. 29 at 11:59 a.m.
- Public voting runs through Nov. 29 at 6:50 p.m.
The online winner will be crowned live at the city of Jacksonville’s Holiday Extravaganza at Riverfront Plaza on Nov. 29 at 6:55 p.m.!

2. Live Ugly Sweater Showdown
Bring your festive fashion disaster to the main stage!
Strut your stuff in person at Jacksonville’s biggest holiday celebration.
Event Details:
- When: Nov. 29
- Where: City of Jacksonville’s Holiday Extravaganza at Riverfront Plaza
- Time: Registration opens at 5 p.m. | Judging at 6 p.m. | Winners revealed at 6:55 p.m.
How to Compete:
- Show up wearing your most gloriously awful holiday sweater
- Register at the Info Booth when you arrive – but before 6 p.m.!
- Take the stage and show off your “so-bad-it’s-brilliant” creation
- Judges will score based on creativity, ugliness, and crowd reaction
Live Competition Prize: TBD (but it’s sure to outshine your sweater -- barely)
Contest Rules & Guidelines
Eligibility:
- Open to all ages (minors need parent/guardian consent)
- You can enter BOTH the online and live competitions
- Sweaters must be holiday/winter themed
- Homemade or store-bought, if it’s ugly, it’s in!
Judging Criteria:
- Creativity & originality
- Overall “ugliness” factor
- Holiday spirit & flair
- Use of lights, tinsel, ornaments, and other festive chaos
