The farm on Imeson Road was established by three brothers from China in the early 1940s and grew to cover more than 300 acres.
It was a leading producer of Chinese produce from the 1950s to the 1970s and operated for 65 years.
The truck farm was sold in 2008 and has since been developed as industrial space for tenants such as the BMW Group and Winsupply.
In 2014, Douglas J. Eng, a grandson of one of the founders, created a photography exhibit called On Fertile Ground that told the story of the final days of his family’s successful farm. You can see his work at DougEng.art.
