What to expect: A cold front will stall over the area Friday night into Saturday Night before finally shifting into central Florida on Sunday. Excess moisture and the frontal boundary will provide numerous to widespread showers with embedded thunderstorms moving across the area Saturday afternoon into Sunday morning.
This will bring beneficial rainfall to our severe/extreme drought areas with rainfall totals in the 1 to 4 inch range.
Minor flooding could occur in areas that receive rounds of heavy rainfall in a short period of time. The axis of heavy rain will generally be across inland SE GA to I-10.
