Marilyn joined the News4Jax team in February 2020.  

Marilyn’s career as a broadcast journalist started at WALB in Albany, Georgia, where she covered crime, severe weather and was a part of the 2020 Georgia Association of Broadcasters award for her participation in a Civil Rights Special. 

She is a proud graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (Aggie Pride!) with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication. While at A&T, Marilyn interned at WXII-12 News in Winston-Salem and Fox 13 in Tampa.
  
A native of St. Petersburg and a graduate of Lakewood High School, Marilyn loves supporting her community. 

Marilyn’s hobbies are dancing, shopping, going to the beach, watching movies and spending time with family.

Accused Times Square shooter speaks from Bradford County jail

The man accused of shooting two women and a 4-year-old girl in Times Square over the weekend has seven days to consult with a public defender before he faces extradition to New York to face attempted murder charges against him, a Bradford County judge said Thursday after Farrakhan Muhammad’s first appearance in court.
