Youth of the Year – Jacksonville’s Own Nico Flowers
Nico Flowers, a proud member of Jacksonville’s Edward H. White Boys & Girls Club, has been named the 2024-25 National Youth of the Year by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This prestigious honor recognizes Nico’s exceptional leadership, community service, and academic excellence. His journey began at the local level and progressed through state and regional competitions, culminating in a crowning moment announced by Denzel Washington.
As National Youth of the Year, Nico will represent over three million Boys & Girls Club members nationwide, sharing his inspiring story and serving as an ambassador for youth development. Along with the title, Nico received a $50,000 scholarship, a 2025 Toyota Corolla, and a Kohl’s shopping spree. A devoted Jaguars fan, Nico looks forward to travel opportunities and events like the World Series, continuing his mission to inspire and lead young people across the country.
