JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man died after being found with multiple gunshot wounds near an apartment complex in Arlington on Tuesday.
The scene was near the Arco Place apartments. News4JAX did see a body in the street when our crew arrived around 10:30 a.m.
About 7 hours later, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office held a news conference and said officers were called to Bretta Street around 9:30 a.m. to reports of a person shot.
Investigators say the man died at the scene, and they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They’re also working to track down any witnesses or surveillance video.
JSO said at this time, no one has been detained. No suspect description was given.
