The SAPD spokesperson said the woman is originally from St. Augustine and now lives in Jacksonville. It’s unclear how she got to St. Augustine from Jacksonville.

A release from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the woman was last seen around 4:30 p.m. Monday at the hospital, but that the hospital didn’t report her missing until 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.

A large command center with multiple JFRD units, the Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Task Force of Urban Search and Rescue was set up in the parking lot of a shopping center near Beach and University boulevards. Investigators used drones, K-9 teams and officers on bicycles in the search.
